Answers to the questions most often asked of us

Sale of fabrics by 10cm?

We operate like a traditional fabric seller / haberdashery.

We cut the desired length of fabric from a bolt whose width (the breadth) is given in the detailed description of each fabric.

Unlike many haberdasheries, the minimum cutting length is 10cm. This allows you to order exactly what you need for your projects without waste.

We cut the requested length in a single piece of fabric.

For your information, the usual fabric widths are:

- for Japanese fabrics, a width (breadth) of 110cm

- for Western fabrics, a width (breadth) of 140cm.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver daily in Belgium and France.

We can deliver to homes anywhere in Europe. We can also deliver to pick-up points in the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal.

We normally do not deliver to countries that require customs formalities (countries outside the European Union), but please do not hesitate to contact us by email at eugenie@cestdujoly.be if you are especially interested in a product.

How does delivery to a pickup point work? Where can I find the list of points near my home?

Pickup points, sometimes also called relay points or post points, are places where your parcels are sent. It is your responsibility to collect the parcel at the point you have chosen yourself.

We deliver to the relay points of the Mondial Relay network.

You can check the list of available pickup points near you on the Mondial Relay website at the address

* in Belgium: https://www.mondialrelay.be/fr-be

* In France: https://www.mondialrelay.fr/

When choosing this delivery method, you will be asked to select your pickup point after payment of the order.

Attention: Please note that at the end of the purchase (checkout) you will be asked if you wish to collect your order or send it. Collecting means picking up the parcel in our shop. If you wish to pick it up at a pickup point, choose send; you will then be able to select the option for sending to the pickup point.

What are the delivery times?

We prepare orders within 2 working days and ship them on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Delivery times depend on the chosen delivery method, but your order is usually in your hands within the week.

What payment methods are accepted?

We offer a fairly wide range of payment methods:

  • Credit cards (Carte Bleue, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX)
  • Debit cards (Maestro, Bancontact, ideal)
  • Paypal
  • Payment through Belfius and CBC/KBC banking apps
  • Bank transfer.

For payments by bank transfer, we prepare your order immediately but only ship it upon receipt of your transfer. The information required for payment is displayed when you choose this payment method.

We do not accept payments by cheque.

May I have an invoice?

You can of course have an invoice (VAT). Send us your VAT details and we will send you the invoice by email when the order is shipped.

Welcome to my shop C'est du Joly!

My name is Eugénie Joly and I have been passionate about sewing and fashion for several years now.

Since 2019, I have been running the Sewing Advice blog which now brings together more than 90,000 enthusiasts.

At the beginning of 2020, I launched my online shop where you can find a selection of fabrics, haberdashery items, and fine embroidery supplies for those who, like me, are demanding about the quality of their creations.

In May 2022, faced with the flood of requests to be able to touch the fabrics, I opened a physical shop in Brussels, Belgium.

My dearest wish is: That you can find what makes you happy in my shop, whether you know how to sew or not.

Enjoy your visit!
