Answers to the questions most often asked of us

Sale of fabrics by 10cm?

We operate as a traditional cloth seller / haberdashery.

We cut the desired length of fabric from a bolt whose width (the breadth) is noted in the detailed description of each fabric.

Unlike many haberdasheries, the minimum cutting length is 10cm. This allows you to order exactly what you need for your projects without waste.

We cut the requested length into a single coupon of fabric.

For your information, the usual widths of fabrics are:

- for Japanese fabrics, a breadth of 110cm

- for Western fabrics, a breadth of 140cm.

Welcome to my shop C'est du Joly!

My name is Eugénie Joly and I have been passionate about sewing and fashion for several years now.

Since 2019, I have been running the Sewing Advice blog which now brings together more than 90,000 enthusiasts.

At the beginning of 2020, I launched my online shop where you can find a selection of cloths, haberdashery items, or fine embroidery supplies for those who, like me, are demanding about the quality of their makework.

In May 2022, faced with the flood of requests to be able to touch the cloths, I opened a physical shop in Brussels, Belgium.

My dearest wish is: That you may find your joy in my shop whether you know how to sew or not.

Enjoy your visit!
